Join City Blossoms for an eastern senior high school Garden Workday!

Join City Blossoms in the Eastern garden! Tasks for this workday will include garden maintenance activities such as washing pots, weeding, and spreading soil and pathway mulch.

If you are bringing your children to volunteer or participate with you, there is a field to list their names and sign on their behalf. If you are a youth volunteer or participant under 18 years of age, you can fill out the form as usual and have your parent/guardian review and sign at the end. Email cara@cityblossoms.org with any questions.

About the space: Eastern is home to half our year-round, garden-based Youth Entrepreneurship Cooperative program. At the core of the program is a youth-led business called Mighty Greens. Through this business, Youth Staff learn to combine their interests of environmental and food justice work with micro-enterprise and job readiness skills development. Throughout the year, participants at Eastern maintain their garden space and greenhouse, create added-value products using their garden’s harvest, lead workshops, and sell/donate their products and produce back to the local communities.
