Annual Traditions
Rooting DC
DC's annual, free, all-day gardening forum aims to provide education about urban food production and consumption to cultivate health and preserve the environment. City Blossoms is a partner in planning and hosting this event, which includes workshops, demonstrations, and a lively informational fair. Late February.
Garden Fiesta
City Blossoms' Annual Garden Fiesta is our mid-year fundraising event. The night typically includes fabulous local food, flowing drinks, and fun activities for all ages. Come wearing your best theme inspired outfit (TBA). Early June.
Basil Bonanza
This fiesta is our way of celebrating the summer harvest. Family, friends, and neighbors gather together at a basil-themed potluck to enjoy dishes ranging from sides and appetizers to drinks and dessert. And did we mention there are prizes for best basil-themed dishes? Early August.
the Farm at Kelly Miller’s Fall Festival
This family-friendly event is co-hosted with The Farm at Kelly Miller’s partners, Dreaming Out Loud and DPR, and is full of festive music, art making, delicious local food, and farm fun for all ages. Early October.
