Featured Nonprofits include:
FRESHFARM, who works to create a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable food future. They educate the public about food and the environment and sustain the local food economy through hands-on education, farmers markets, and food distribution programs.
City Blossoms, who cultivates the well-being of our communities through creative programming in kid-driven gardens. Creating urban gardens from unused or underused land, they "blossom" in neighborhoods that may not otherwise have access to green spaces.
City Wildlife, who is the only wildlife rehabilitation organization in DC. They manage a rescue center that has treated more than 6,200 animals, in addition to protecting and advocating for wildlife and wildlife habitat.
Anacostia Riverkeeper, who works to protect and restore the Anacostia River so that, one day, we can see a fishable and swimmable Anacostia that's accessible to all. They help ensure the health of the river through educational boat tours, water quality monitoring, and more.
