WHAT ARE STAFFED HOURS?

At this time, we are unable to host regular Open Time hours at Girard Children’s Garden. Instead, our staff will be present outside the Girard Children’s Garden on Mondays and Fridays to perform maintenance tasks around the perimeter of this space. During these times, volunteers and neighbors are welcome to lend a hand in the front pollinator sections of the garden. Our team will also provide independent, child-friendly activities outside of the garden, such as chalk art, and a mini-children’s library for neighboring youth utilize during these times. Thank you to our community for remaining flexible this year. We hope to reopen the full garden soon!

COVID-19 SAFETY UPDATES & GUIDELINES:

In order to keep participants and staff safe, we are continuing to sanitize all tools using antibacterial wipes and UV light. We will be providing single-use masks for children and families if they are not already wearing one upon entering the space. We will also be providing ample hand sanitizer and a designated hand washing station at the front of the garden, where participants will be required to wash their hands upon entry and before exiting the space. All cooking activities are suspended until further notice.

PLEASE KEEP EACH OTHER SAFE BY…

• Wearing a mask at all times in the green spaces. 

• Continuing to maintain a distance of 6 feet from other folks outside your household at all times.

• Refraining from entering the space if there are already 15 visitors inside.

• Refraining from visiting if you or someone within your household have a fever or any other symptoms outlined by the CDC.
