Looking for a fun community event to volunteer at this fall?
City Blossoms, a Washington DC based non-profit committed to kid-driven, community engaging and creative green spaces, is seeking volunteers to help us get the Eastern Senior High School Garden ready for the wintertime. This garden is active all year-round, which means it needs a little extra tlc before the fall is over.
We will be working with volunteers on a number of tasks including weeding, replacing the in-ground garden bed borders, cleaning the greenhouse and seedling trays, build new picnic tables, and planting bulbs. The more the merrier, so be sure to invite your friends and family!
Please dress in clothes you don't mind getting dirty as well as closed toe shoes. Everyone is encouraged to bring a water bottle, bug spray, and sunscreen. We will provide gloves and tools! Please keep in mind that we will work rain or shine, unless otherwise specified.
Interested in attending? E-mail Nicole directly at nicole@cityblossoms.org to RSVP and for more information.
