Support City Blossoms this Earth Month!

April 22nd is Earth Day, which means April is Earth Month! At City Blossoms, the importance of nature and our connection to it is at the heart of everything we do.

In honor of Earth Day this year, we hope you’ll join us in supporting kid-driven green spaces for the entire month of April. Whether you donate to help us meet our Earth Month goal, join us at one of our Earth Month Community Workdays, or celebrate with us at Spring Fest, you will support our efforts to make nature and green space accessible to all DC children, youth, and communities.

Help us raise $10,000 this Earth Month!

This April, we have an ambitious goal to raise $10,000 to support our nature-based programming for children and youth of all ages throughout DC. Our programs provide opportunities for children and youth to build connections to the Earth, local nature, and their communities from early childhood to high school and beyond. Help us reach our goal… and feed Wally the worm!

To help us reach this goal, we have a donation match!

Thanks to the generous support of our partner Forbright Bank, funds are matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000 in total contributions! For every dollar you give, Forbright Bank will contribute a dollar in support of the Youth Entrepreneurship Cooperative, our high school program where students run their own garden-based cooperative business.

Spend Earth Month in a garden

This April, dig in to Earth Month during one of our many volunteer opportunities.

Community Workdays: Help our gardens dust off the winter and get ready for spring during our large, family-friendly Community Workdays. These volunteer events will help us transition each space for the coming growing season!

Open Time: Join us in our gardens across DC during our free, drop-in, open hours every week to help nurture our green spaces. This regular maintenance ensures each garden remains safe and active for youth-led programming!
